Where Do I Vote?
Voting takes place in the lower level at the Township hall.

Voters are required to present picture identification as part of the application to vote process. The Election Inspector will check the photo and name appearing on the identification to verify the voter’s identity.
Acceptable forms of picture identification are:
-Michigan driver's license or Michigan personal identification card
-Current driver's license or personal identification card issued by another
state
-Current federal or state government-issued photo identification
-U.S. passport
-Current Military identification card with photo
-Current student identification with photo - from a high school or an
accredited institution of higher education
-Current Tribal identification card with photo
*Voters who do not have acceptable picture identification or are not in possession of picture identification must sign an affidavit prior to voting.
Absentee Voting Due to the passage of the statewide ballot proposal 18-3 in November 2018, all registered voters in Michigan may now request an absent voter ballot without providing a reason.
You may request an absent voter
ballot by submitting an application to vote form. You may contact the Clerk’s
Office to receive an application to vote or download and absent voter ballot
application on https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us . Requests may be returned by hand, via postal mail or
email as long as a signature is visible.
Requests to have an absent voter ballot mailed to you must be received by your
clerk no later than 5 p.m. the Friday before the election. The Clerk’s Office
is staffed on the Saturday prior to each election from 8am to 4pm for the
purpose of processing request for absent voters’ ballots.

Permanent Absentee Voter List Registered voters can now be placed on the Garfield Township’s Permanent Absentee Voter List. You may contact the Clerk's office to be added to this list. Once you are added to the list, you will automatically receive an application for Absentee Ballot prior to each election without calling to request it.
